Portrait Rubric

Attached you will find a link to the quality section guidleines of the AP Studio Art course. These are the guidelines we will be using to assess the work of our final 2 self-portrait pieces:
1. The conte and charcoal observational self-portrait
2. The appropriated structure self-portrait.

You should be familiar with these guidelines for our first critique on the appropriated structure pieces on Monday, December 1. I will also be collecting the conte/charcoal portraits on that day.

Power Portraits

Below find 3 portraits mentioned in the article by Richard Dorment in his review of Michael Levey's book on the artist Sir Thomas Lawrence. Be prepared on Monday to answer questions pertaining to these portraits based on the information found in the article. You should be able to identify features that are used to support the goals of Lawrence's work and how those features are used to affect the viewer including point-of-view, setting, and veracity.
